Hill Air Force Base

Hill Air Force Base is the largest single employer in the state of Utah with more than 23,500 civilian, military, and contractor employees. It is home to many worldwide operational and support missions, with the Ogden Air Logistics Center serving as the host organization. Activities include maintenance, repair and overhaul of aircraft; landing gear management, overhaul and repair; ammunition test and evaluation; software development and engineering; radar test and repair; aircraft robotics repair; metal processing; low-observable, stealth, composite materials manufacturing and repair; and missile launch vehicle repair and assembly. Major organizations handle aircraft; commodities; technical and industrial support; space and command, control, communications and intelligence systems; personnel; finance; contracting; logistics; and intercontinental ballistic missile systems. In addition, Hill AFB is host to the 388th Fighter Wing, one of the most decorated combat-ready fighter units in Air Force History, and the 419th Fighter Wing, , the largest Reserve unit in Utah and the first Air Force Reserve F-16 Wing.

Booth Activity:We will have a continuously running video about Hill AFB missions, operations and workload. We will also have a handout on the 132 types of occupations at Hill AFB and the education and experience needed to qualify for such jobs. Another handout will describe special internship and co-op programs for manufacturing, scientific, technical, engineering and administrative occupations. We will have several experts on hand to answer questions about Hill AFB occupations, student intern and co-op programs, hiring procedures, pay and benefits, etc.
